Belmont Village project violates the restrictions in the Westwood Specific Plan

Updated: Dec 27, 2018

Belmont Village, a Texas developer, wants to build a commercial for-profit business with a structure 12+ stories high (153’) in order to make their business model work within the small footprint of the Westwood Presbyterian church grounds. And let's be clear - a 12 story building is not allowed per the Westwood Specific Plan in the first place. The limit is 6 stories.
