WNSG SCORED A BIG WIN!
Westwood Neighbors for Sensible Growth scored a BIG win for all of us! Twenty-five WNSG members attended a meeting of the Holmby Westwood Property Owners Association on March 12, 2019. The HWPOA BOARD members were overwhelmingly expected to vote in favor of the Belmont/Church 12-story project at 10822 Wilshire Blvdand 10812 Ashton Ave. Their final vote however,limited the Belmont/WPC parking lot development to 6-stories!!
We need at least 50 –100 volunteers at the upcoming meetings – your continued support is vital. The first meeting will be the Zoning Administration Meeting, which we believe will occur in May or June. The second meeting will be for the new North Westwood Neighborhood Council and is expected to occur in July, after the Zoning Administration meeting.
You will receive ample notice so you can “save the date” and plan to join your fellow homeowners and residents, to SAVE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD FROM THIS DEVELOPER’S GREED!

WNSG is spearheading this effort for all of us in the neighborhood (stretching from Sunset Blvd to Santa Monica Blvd). Don’t think you won’t be adversely impacted because you will be for sure - if Belmont is successful with all their requested deviations.
The proposed developer/church project would likely SET A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT FOR OUR ENTIRE WESTWOOD AREA as future developers cite this project as an example to further their own plans to circumvent the zoning and specific plan.
